Are you struggling to understand the Scripture?

Do you want more clarity on what the Scripture is teaching about? Then you are in the right place!

What is Bible Prabodhalu?

What does the Bible say? This is a frequently asked question! While there are many radio and TV ministries that may be faithful in presenting God’s Word, there are also some teachers, preachers who misunderstand the Scripture, who misinterpret and thus mislead others. You may ask: Well, can we not read the Bible as any other book and so understand it like any other book? Yes, the Bible can be read like any other book, and by anyone. But, no, not everyone that reads the Bible will understand the insights of it. The Bible is a book, yes, but not like any other book. The Scripture is inspired by God; it is a Holy Book, and it does not contain any error. To understand Bible accurately, a person must be a believer in Jesus Christ and must know some interpreting principles. If a person is a believer, then he or she may say: Why would anyone need any principles or methods to interpret the Bible? Is it not the Holy Spirit’s work to help us understand the Bible? Yes! It is the ministry of the Holy Spirit, but yet, God gave us a mind to think through and understand. The Holy Spirit illuminates the Scripture to us. However, it is to the interpreter to analyze the text and see what it means and how it fits under the central theme of the Bible, the theme of an individual book, and the theme of the passage. If, as some may think, that Bible can be understood by anyone without any particular principles, then it will only produce various interpretations. Biblical study and interpretation should be objective and not subjective. We should be careful while interpreting the Bible because the Bible is God’s Word. Therefore, teachers and preachers should be very careful when presenting it, because, (1) it is God's living Word, and (2) they are responsible to answer God. So, to answer the question: What is Bible Prabodhalu: Bible Prabodhalu is a podcast/radio ministry in Telugu, with its purpose to interpret the Bible and faithfully proclaim it.

Bible Prabodhalu is also a ministry (a part of) the Gospel Heritage Ministries.

Why Bible Prabodhalu?

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17.

Bible Prabodhalu was launched by Dr. Joel Madasu in the month of June 2015. For a long time now, God placed a desire in his heart to present His Word in Telugu, so that mostly Telugu speaking people would know the message of the Bible! He believes that it is crucial to know what the Bible says; it is crucial to teach Bible accurately! This accurate teaching can only be presented if the interpreter understands the text and presents it faithfully without imposing his opinions about the text.

Because of the misleading and misinterpretation of the text by many, and also with the vision to reach a large group of people with an accurate understanding of the Scripture, the Bible Prabodhalu podcast ministry is launched.

Our Doctrinal Positions

Where We Stand on Doctrinal Belief:

  • We believe that the Bible contains a total of 66 Books, the Old Testament and the New Testament, are without error in the original manuscripts, and are inspired by God (II Tim 3:16).
  • We believe that the Bible is the sole authority for faith and practice; designed for practical instructions; and that through Scriptures God revealed Himself to mankind (Romans 1:17-20; Eph. 3:3-5).
  • We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:4; Gen. 1:26, 11:7; Isaiah 48:16; Matt. 28:19; 1 Cor. 8:4-6; 1 John 5:7).
  • We believe that the Genesis account of creation is to be accepted literally and not figuratively. We believe that man has originally created a sinless being (Gen. 1:26). But he fell from that sinless state (Gen.3). As a result of his sin, he lost his spiritual life, becoming dead in trespasses and sins (Eph. 2:1). Because of the sin that was committed, all mankind are now sinners by nature and by conduct and are justly under divine condemnation.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the focal point of the entire Bible. He is both truly God and truly man (John 1:1, 14). His literal human body was miraculously conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, and He was born of a human mother who was a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:34-35). He has no beginning and no end (Rev. 1:8). He is an equal member of the Trinity (John 10:30).
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, co-equal with God the Father and God the Son (Isaiah 48:16). He was active in creation (Gen. 1:26), and active now in a believer’s life.
  • We believe that no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born-again (John 3:3). Salvation is made free to all by the Gospel. It is the gift of God (Eph. 2:8). It is initiated by God and is accomplished by grace apart from any human works. It requires faith and belief in Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8; Acts 16:31).
  • We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, and it is composed of all true believers who are placed into that Body by the baptizing work of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 1:2; Acts 9:31).
  • We believe that the Church is distinct from Israel and that a local church is an organized congregation of believers associated together by a common faith and fellowship in the Gospel.
  • We believe that the two ordinances, the baptism, and the Lord’s Supper should be practiced in a local church and they are the means of the testimony for the Church (Matt. 28:19-20; 1 Cor. 11:24).
  • We believe in Eternal Security, because of the regenerating, and the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of all who are saved shall be kept saved and safe forever (Eph: 4:30; John 5:24; 10:28)
  • We believe that the Great Commission is one of the most significant passages in the Bible. This is a command from Jesus, and personal instruction for Christians to have a profound faith in Him. This is a call to all the believers to share the Good News of salvation throughout the world. (Matt. 28:19-20).
  • We believe in Rapture, that all the believers (the Church) will be carried away to heaven, before the Great Tribulation (1 Thess. 4:13-18).
  • We believe that the period of Great Tribulation on the earth. It will come to an end by the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth, in person, on the clouds, with power and great glory (Matt. 24:30).
